2. Nature of the Service
The Service provides statistical estimates derived from third-party public survey datasets, including the General Social Survey (NORC at the University of Chicago) and the U.S. Census Bureau's Current Population Survey. Estimates are computed by server-side statistical software and are presented with their uncertainty, methodology, and source citations. Results are informational only and do not constitute professional, legal, financial, medical, or other advice.
3. Accuracy and reliance
Survey estimates are subject to sampling error, non-sampling error, and the limitations of the underlying datasets. We make no representation that any estimate is complete, current, or error-free. You are solely responsible for how you use or publish any result, and you should verify figures against the cited sources before relying on them.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, accessing it through automated means at abusive rates, misrepresenting results produced by the Service, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, its design, and its original content are the property of I Don't Know, LLC and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All rights reserved. Underlying survey data and codebooks remain the property of their respective owners and are subject to their own terms of use.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
7. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, I DON'T KNOW, LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, OR YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY ESTIMATE OR CONTENT PROVIDED. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US TO USE THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless I Don't Know, LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your publication or other use of results obtained from the Service.

The Service cites and links to third-party datasets and websites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, terms, or practices.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
